Home team is listed first on the schedule. Visiting team to wear pinneys if needed.
If a team is being dominated during a game, a fourth player may be added at the discretion of the referee and both coaches. Since score is not being kept this will be a judgment call. The coach of the team that is being dominated may decline the option of using the fourth player. If the fourth player is able to bring the team back to a reasonable differential in score he will then be removed and both teams will play 3 v 3.
The fourth player is intended to be way to try and build team confidence, and to encourage the children to play together. We ask that the coaches not use the same player as the extra. The 50% playing rule is still in effect.
Remember to always enforce good sportsmanship with both your players and their spectators. All spectators must sit on the side opposite of the player’s benches. Any immediate concerns should be brought to a site director’s attention.
Any information that you can provide us about the referees would be helpful. Positive and constructive negative feedback is a good way to let us know how the referees are doing. Please contact us, including field, time and the date of your game and details about what was going on. Positive comments will help us move the new referees up to higher levels and new challenges. Other comments will allow us to focus on growth areas.
Encourage families to volunteer their time in the concession stand or with field maintenance before and after their player’s games and during practices. Please check into the concession stand on a regular basis to make sure you are receiving all necessary information and/or handouts. Please return your ball bag to the concession stand after your last game of the season if you are not going to coach in the spring.
Always remember when any thunder is present during any practice or games: "If it roars… go indoors.", "If you hear it… clear it.". Do NOT wait for the lightning!
