Tryouts for RPYSC Select teams were a great success! We will be creating 5 teams for the GVSA Select league in Fall 2010. Over 200 players attended tryouts with 74 offered positions on teams.
[more]Select Team Tryouts
RPYSC will be offering players the opportunity to play on select teams in fall 2010. Select teams will play within the Grand Valley Soccer Association League.
Select soccer is an opportunity for recreational soccer players to continue the growth of their soccers skills in an increasingly competitive environment while still placing an emphasis on development. As the name implies, players are selected annually for teams based on the abilities they demonstrate in organized try-outs. Try-outs are scheduled in June for teams expecting to start play in the fall. All players try-out every year regardless of whether they have played on a select team before.
Tryouts are scheduled for June 15th, 16th and 17th with a make-up date of June 23rd for all ages. See our Select FAQ for more information. Tryout location has moved to the Reeths-Puffer High School soccer practice field behind RP Elementary, 1404 N. Getty Street, Muskegon.
Players must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will be required to sign a tryout registration form before the player can tryout.
We are excited to be able to offer this new program for players. We have received many requests for this program and have seen many talented players leave RPYSC for neighboring soccer clubs with select programs. We look forward to this being the start of a great opportunity for RPYSC players to grow their skills to the next level.

We are looking for players in the above age groups. We have sufficient players in each age group to create a team, but have the opportunity to create two teams out of one or would like to add some extras to allow for more subs. If you are interested please complete a registration form. We will accept registrations for these two age groups for a short period after our July 24th deadline.
